The Supermicro SuperBlade 422B-5NE14 is a dual socket system compatible with Intel Xeon 6 6700 series processors with E-Cores. These CPUs support a maximum TDP of 205W when air cooled at 35°C. Up to 10x 23.5-inch depth blades can be installed into an 8U enclosure. The front of the node includes 4x hot-swap E1.S NVMe drive bays, but there is also an optional 4x M.2 NVMe drives via a mezzanine card, plus 1x NVMe M.2 for 2280 form factor cards on the server board for a total of 9x storage devices.
Built for enterprise data centers, electronic design automation (EDA), cloud computing, and high-performance applications, the SuperBlade 422B-5NE14 supports dual 25G ethernet ports and an OCP 3.0 PCIe 5.0 x16 AIOM slot, compatible with InfiniBand 100G EDR, 200G HDR, and 400G NDR. The enclosures are designed to help lower costs by providing the power, cooling, networking, and centralized management in a high-density form factor. 10x half-height, dual-socket servers, such as the 422B-5NE14 can provide up to 20 CPUs and 2,880 physical processing E-cores in 8U, making it ideal for scale out in an enterprise data center. The enclosures also support optional liquid cooling, ensuring optimal performance under extreme load. Management from a central location also helps to reduce wiring complexity and the need for additional switches.
