Designed for financial trading applications, the Supermicro SuperServer 1029UX-LL3-S16 features low-latency components giving your business a competitive edge. To optimize performance, the system is outfitted with dual Intel Xeon Scalable Gold processors. This system is only available with a minimal configuration.
Low-latency means a quicker path to profits with financial trading. The Supermicro SuperServer 1029UX-LL3-S16 delivers on that promise with world-record performance benchmarks that show a double-digit latency improvement on financial applications. This is a turnkey system designed to operate flawlessly right out of the box. *This system is only available in a minimal configuration with dual Intel Xeon Scalable 6154 Gold, 12x memory modules, 4x SAS drives, and a low-latency add on I/O network card.
Like the other two chassis in this hyper-speed family, the system is optimized to perform at peak low latency using 2x Intel Xeon Scalable Gold 6154 processors. The processors feature up to 18 cores with a Turbo frequency of 3.78GHz. Each processor supports 6x memory channels in a 1+1+2 configuration. For maximum performance only 12x DDR4 memory modules are installed with only a single memory module in each of the six memory channels. Powering the system are dual redundant 750W platinum level PSUs.
The system comes standard with 12x DDR4 16GB memory modules, but can be upgraded to support greater capacity at time of order. With 1st Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, memory will run at speeds of up to 2666MHz.
With an integrated SAS 3108 controller, this system offers native SAS support for 8x hot-swap SAS3 HDD or SSD drives paired with 2x NVMe drives for data resiliency and low latency.
Three PCIe 3.0 slots including 2x full-length x16 slots and 1x PCIe x8 slot provide options. The Supermicro 1029UX-LL3-S16 is configured with a single qualified low-latency NIC, but you can install another in the other x16 slot. An optional LAN on Motherboard (LOM) provides additional network connections without using your limited PCIe slots.
Management of the platform is through the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI). A dedicated port on the back of the chassis provides access to the baseboard management controller (BMC) which leverages the ASPEED AST2500 module for at-chassis and remote management of the system. Additional management utilities like SuperDoctor5 (SD5) provide more granular information and control of hardware assets.
Featuring a low-latency configuration, the Supermicro SuperServer 1029UX-LL3-S16 is the system of choice for financial trading and analysis. Dual processors, memory, storage and low-latency I/O network connections provide a stable platform with the least jitter and the best performance.
