The Supermicro SuperServer 6019U-TRT is a dual-socket 1U platform designed for virtualization, cloud computing, and more. This system is part of the Ultra SuperServer line packing performance for 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, flexible storage, and support for Intel Optane memory modules.
The system features a dual-processor motherboard based on an Intel C621 chipset to support Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 28 cores. The board also supports 24x memory module slots with a maximum of 6TB and an option to support one double-width graphics card.
The Supermicro SuperServer 6019U-TRT is designed to be deployed as a dual-socket platform with both Gen 1 and Gen 2 Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 28 cores each and 70-205W TDP. Second-generation Scalable processors offer the fastest and most memory with speeds of up to 2933MT/s. First-generation reaches a slower speed of 2666MT/s. Another perk that Gen 2 Xeon Scalable processors offer is the ability to install Intel Optane memory modules!
Each CPU supports 6x memory channels that can be populated with two memory modules each, for a total of 12 memory slots per processor. A maximum of 24 DDR4 memory modules with up to 6TB of memory is supported. The system is compatible with Registered (RDIMM), Load-Reduced (LRDIMM), and Intel Optane Data Center Persistent (DCPMM) memory modules, but mixing memory modules of different types and speeds is not allowed. DCPMM offer data persistence with higher capacity than existing memory modules and lower latency than NVMe SSDs. They also provide hyper-speed storage capabilities for high performance computing with flexible configuration options. As stated above, the speed of the memory is determined by several factors including processor and memory speed.
The front drive bays on the system support up to 4x 3.5-inch hot-swap SATA drives, but can be configured for SAS or NVMe. A dual-processor system supports up to 24x NVMe SSDs and 12x RAID arrays. The system also has the option to install up to two M.2 solid state drives with an add-on card for better performance and more storage.
There are 4x PCIe Gen3 slots on the 6019U-TRT. The slots can be filled with expansion cards, with one dedicated slot assigned to a double-width GPU. Two can also be used for M.2 solid state drives. One M.2 socket supports PCIe and the other supports SATA. An IPMI LAN port also supports 2x 10GBase-T ports located next to two USB ports on the back of the chassis.
The Supermicro 6019U-TRT is managed by several programs. SuperDoctor5, or SD5, is used to notify IT administrators of certain system events. For example, you can configure SD5 to provide you with warnings when the system temperature, CPU temperatures, voltages and fan speeds go beyond a predefined range. SD5 functions with Windows and Linux operating systems.
As part of the Ultra SuperServer family, the Supermicro SuperServer 6019U-TRT uses a dual-processor motherboard to support Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 28 cores, as well as M.2 cards. The Supermicro SuperServer 6019U-TRT comes with four 3.5-inch drive bays configured for SATA, SAS, or NVMe drives to meet all of your business needs.
