With support for up to 6TB of DDR5 memory in 24x DIMM slots, this platform is designed for virtualization, AI Inference and Machine Learning, plus software-defined storage, and use as an enterprise server. The Supermicro Hyper A+ Server 2125HS-TNR supports dual 4th generation AMD EPYC 9004 series CPUs with 24x storage bays up front compatible with SAS, SATA or NVMe storage options. SATA/SAS drives require an additional storage controller. Gen 5.0 PCIe slots are variable depending on the workload with several options for x8 and x16 slots. NVMe drives will limit the number of supported PCIe slots.
A thermal design power (TDP) limit of 360W enables AMD EPYC 9004 series CPUs with up to 96 cores each for a total of 192 cores with both processors installed. In addition to 24x storage bays, there are 2x onboard PCIe 3.0 x4 slots suitable for 80mm/110mm NVMe m.2 drives that can be used to boot the Supermicro 2125HS-TNR server in a mirror RAID for redundancy. A single advanced I/O module (AIOM) or OCP 3.0 card can be installed in the dedicated mezzanine PCIe Gen5 x16 card slot. 4x hot-plug redundant 2400W AC PSUs power the system.
