With support for dual Xeon Scalable processors and up to 26 drives the 2U Tyan Thunder SX TN70AB7106 B7106T70AU24V2HR Server provides a solid foundation for standard business applications. With five PCIe slots this system can also support multiple I/O devices for use in a cloud or datacenter environment.
The Tyan Thunder SX TN70AB7106 B7106T70AU24V2HR Server is one of Tyan’s workhorse servers and is designed to support a number of critical business applications. It offers two-socket performance paired with up to 1TB of memory and generous up-front storage.

You can install one or two Gen 1 or Gen 2 Intel Xeon Scalable processors from the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum families up to 165W. Above 205W requires an optional heatsink. Each processor supports six memory channels.
Three drive cages on the front of the Tyan TN70AB7106 B7106T70AU24V2HR Server support up to eight 2.5-inch drives each for a total of 24. You can also install two more 2.5-inch SATA drives using a rear drive cage, bringing the total number of supported drives to 26. SATA drives are supported natively with ports on the system board and backplanes that support both SATA and SAS drives at 6Gb/s and 12Gb/s. There is also a specific x4 slot on the motherboard for a single M.2 drive. Additional M.2 drives can be installed via the PCIe sots. For SAS drive support you will need to install a discrete Broadcom MegaRAID controller that can also support NVMe drives.
The system supports Registered (RDIMM), Load-Reduced (LRDIMM), and 3DS RDIMM memory modules operating at speeds of up to 2666MHz depending on the processor, memory module, and memory configuration.
There are five PCIe slots available with both Tyan risers installed. A single M.2 storage device can also be installed in a dedicated slot on the motherboard. Integrated software RAID is available or you can go with a discrete Broadcom RAID controller for SAS, SATA, and NVMe storage devices.
An integrated AST2500 with Base Management Controller (BMC) and Redfish support are standard equipment on this system. Ports front and back connect to the controller both at chassis and remotely using a standard browser.
