At only 1U, the Tyan Transport CX GC68AB8036-LE B8036G68AV10E2HR-LE server supports AMD’s new EPYC processors from the 7003 series, as well as the 7002 series. Equipped with 16x memory module slots, the motherboard can support up to 4TB of memory, and also features 12x SATA and NVMe drive bays, plus NVMe M.2 slots.
The cloud platform supports the latest technology including two PCIe Gen4 slots for double the speed and reliability compared to PCIe 3.0. The Tyan Transport CX GC68AB8036-LE B8036G68AV10E2HR-LE platform also supports a single AMD EPYC processor from the newest 7003 series or the previous 7002 series. 12x storage bays up front can support SATA and NVMe drives.
Putting up to 64 cores to work, the single-socket Tyan Transport CX GC68AB8036-LE B8036G68AV10E2HR-LE system supports either an AMD EPYC Rome (7002) or Milan (7003) series processor. The latest CPUs are based on the 7nm process technology. Each processor also supports 8x memory channels. This configuration has 16x DIMM slots, which can support up to 4TB of memory running at speeds up to 3200MHz, depending on your choice of processor. The configurable thermal design power (cTDP) on this server is a maximum of 240W.
Under the lid, this platform features 8x memory channels, with two memory modules per channel, for a total of 16x active memory module slots. The chassis is based on the S8036GM2NE-LE motherboard supports several types of memory including: Registered RDIMM) memory modules, Load-reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules, and LRDIMM 3DS. The DIMMs support speeds of up to 3,200MHz and a maximum memory capacity of 4,096GB when using either RDIMMs or LRDIMMs.
The high-performance B8036G68AV10E2HR-LE platform is a 1U cloud server with support for 12x front-access 2.5-inch hot-swap, tool-less drive bays. All bays can be configured with SATA drives by default, however, the 2x leftmost drive bays are hybrid and can be configured to support NVMe U.2/SATA 6G/SAS 12G. If needed, there are 2x NVMe/SATA M.2 slots on the motherboard to be used as boot drives or to support a hypervisor. The other system in the GC68AB8036 family, the B8036G68AE12HR, supports 12x NVMe U.2 drives, or 8x NVMe drives with 4x SATA drives operating at 6G.
There are 2x PCIe Gen4 x16 slots via pre-installed Tyan riser cards that can be accessed through the rear of the chassis to support full-height or half-height, but both at half-length. The Transport CX GC68AB8036-LE B8036G68AV10E2HR-LE server also comes with 1x PCIe Gen.3 x16 OCP 2.0 slot.
As for management, the system is equipped with the AST2500 baseboard management controller (BMC) with Redfish support. The BMC is accessed through the integrated platform management interface (IPMI 2.0) and allows administrators to monitor critical components at chassis or remotely such as fan speeds, temperature, hardware failure, and more.
Driven by AMD’s Infinity architecture, the Tyan Transport CX GC68AB8036-LE B8036G68AV10E2HR-LE is a 1U, single-socket, AMD EPYC 7002 or 7003 series processor-based platform. The system features 16x DDR4 DIMM slots, two standard PCIe Gen4 x16 expansion slots, and support for both SATA and NVMe storage drives.
