Offering a cost-effective solution for cloud computing, and edge environments, the Tyan Transport CX GX40B8016 B8016G40V4 Server features a short-depth, 1U chassis. It supports a single AMD EPYC 4000 series or AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPU, with DDR5 memory and 4x SATA storage bays.
Processors supported on the Tyan Transport CX GX40B8016 B8016G40V4 Server are limited to a Thermal Design Power range of 105W. With 4x DDR5 DIMM slots compatible with unbuffered UDIMMs and non-ECC memory modules, memory speeds of up to 5200MHz are supported. At full capacity, it can support up to 192GB of UDIMM with 2-channel memory architecture enabling 2x DIMMs per channel (2DPC). There are 2x GbE LAN ports and a dedicated GbE LAN port for the Intelligent Platform Management Interface or IPMI.
4x front drive bays support 2x fixed 2.5-inch SATA drives and 2x 3.5-inch SATA drives with a 6Gb/s backplane. Inside the case, there are 2x PCIe 4.0 x4 slots to install one or two NVMe M.2 drives that can be used to boot the system, either with a single M.2 drive or with two in a mirror RAID for redundancy. A single PCIE Gen 5.0 x16 slot hosted in a pre-installed Tyan riser card provides options for additional network connectivity. The system offers energy efficiency with a 300W 80 PLUS Gold power supply unit (PSU). With that dedicated IPMI LAN port on the back of the system, administrators can access the system remotely.
