The Tyan Transport HX FT65TB8050 B8050F65TV8E2H-N Server is a single socket system in a tower server chassis. Providing compute is an AMD EPYC 9004 Series processor. With only 8x memory slots the maximum memory capacity is up to 2TB. This system features PCIe 5.0, DDR5 memory capability. It houses 2x 2.5-inch U.2 NVMe drive bays and 8x 3.5-inch hot-swap SATA drive bays. It can support 2x double-width x16 GPU and 2x single-width GPU cards.
Outfitted with up to 4x GPUs, this 4U tower is targeted at graphical tasks and 3D virtualization. With just a single AMD EPYC 9004 Series processor, the Tyan Transport HX FT65TB8050 B8050F65TV8E2H-N Server tower delivers up to 2TB of memory capacity. 2x 2.5-inch hot-swappable NVMe HDD/SSD drive bays and 8x 3.5-inch hot-swappable HDD/SSD drive bays are accessible from the front of the server. There are 5x PCIe Gen5 x16 slots full-height slots on the rear of the system with full-size GPU support. There are a few options for the power supply depending on how the system is outfitted and include 1200W, 1500W, or 2000W non-redundant PSUs.
A single AMD EPYC 9004 Series processor is compatible with the Tyan FT65TB8050 B8050F65TV8E2H-N Server. The hardware configuration of this system accepts CPU options up to a maximum Thermal Design Point (TDP) of 400W and includes CPUs with up to 96x physical cores and 192x virtual threads. AMD EPYC 9004 Series processors deliver 128 PCIe Gen 5 lanes offering twice the bandwidth compared to PCIe Gen 4.
On the front of the server there are 2x 2.5-inch hot-swappable U.2 NVMe HDD/SSD drive bays and 8x 3.5-inch hot-swappable SATA HDD/SSD drive bays. The front drive interface has 2x SATA 6Gb/s NVMe and 8x SATA 6Gb/s or SAS 12Gb/s ports. If SAS drives are preferred, a discrete SAS controller is required. The system board also has 2x NVMe M.2 22110 / 2280 drive slots, ideal for fast access storage or OS installation.
Compatible memory modules on the Tyan B8050F65TV8E2H-N Server include Registered DIMMs (RDIMM) and 3DS RDIMMs. The compatible CPUs for this system support 12-memory channel architecture but there are only 8x DIMM slots on the motherboard board of this system. Fully configured, the maximum memory capacity is 2TB, using 8x 256GB RDIMM DDR5 memory modules that can operate at speeds of up to 4800MT/s, a significant increase over the previous generation DDR4 memory modules.
System expansion is achieved through 5x PCIe Gen5 expansion slots on the rear of the server. These slots can be outfitted with 2x full size GPUs and 2x single-slot GPUs. The AMD EPYC 9004 Series processors support Gen 5 PCIe slots for twice the data throughput compared to previous generation AMD EPYC processors with PCIe 4 support. Dual 1000GbE Base-T LAN ports can be found on the rear of this server, along with a dedicated management port, which can be used to connect this system to the rest of your IT infrastructure.
Tyan provides many different options for system management. A dedicated Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0 1GbE port via the Intel I210-AT is built into this system’s system board. It grants access to remote and at chassis management capabilities. The onboard chipset is the ASPEED AST2600.
