Housed in a 2U chassis, the 26-bay Tyan TS70AB8056 B8056T70AE26HR-2T-HE-TU Storage Server features front-accessible 2.5-inch hot-swap NVMe U.2 drive bays. For additional storage or OS boot options, the motherboard includes 2x NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 x2 slots, supporting both 22110 and 2280 form factors. Providing compute is a single AMD EPYC CPU with up to 160 physical cores.
Under the hood, the Tyan B8056T70AE26HR-2T-HE-TU Storage Server supports a single AMD EPYC 9005 or 9004 series processor, with a configurable thermal design power (cTDP) of up to 400W. Leveraging 12x memory channels, the server accommodates up to 24x DIMM slots, supporting a maximum of 6TB of DDR5 memory. It’s compatible with both standard RDIMMs and 3DS RDIMMs, with memory speeds reaching up to 5200MHz. Power is delivered by a redundant (1+1) 1,600W hot-swap CRPS power supply, boasting 80 PLUS Titanium efficiency.
The system includes 2x pre-installed riser cards, providing support for 2x FH/HL PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and 1x FH/HL PCIe 5.0 x8 slot. For additional expansion, there’s also a PCIe 5.0 x16 OCP v3.0 mezzanine slot for enhanced networking or I/O options. Remote management is handled by the integrated AST2600 BMC with IPMI 2.0 and Redfish support, allowing administrators to monitor hardware health, thermal conditions, and performance metrics with ease, helping keep the system running smoothly and efficiently.
