Compatible with 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Series Processors, the Supermicro SuperBlade 4129P-T3N Server has dual sockets and is designed to be housed in one of Supermicro’s SuperBlade Enclosures. It supports a total of 16x DIMM slots with three hot-pluggable 2.5-inch SATA3 and optional NVMe drive bays on the front of the system. A PCIe x4 M.2 slot on the system board can be used to host the OS.
Dual 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors are supported on the Supermicro SuperBlade 4129P-T3N Server. Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosure 820C and 820J families support up to 20x of these dual socket servers. 16x DIMM slots are evenly divided between the two sockets. There hot swap 2.5-inch drive bays can be outfitted with either all SATA3 or in combination with 2x NVMe drives. This server node provides the foundation for a high-density server deployment for enterprise cloud and high-performance computing applications.

The motherboard of the Supermicro 4129P-T3N Node supports a dual socket configuration compatible with 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. The Thermal Design Point (TDP) of this system supports CPUs with an output of 205W, which includes the entire product lineup. The supported CPUs on this system include Platinum and Gold families with Platinum processors offering up to 28x physical cores and 56x virtual threads. Both the 1st and 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors support 6x memory channels.
The Supermicro 4129P-T3N Server Node can be configured with either 3x hot-pluggable 2.5-inch SATA3 drives or a single SATA3 drive plus 2x hot-pluggable NVMe drives. A single PCIe x4 M.2 drive slot is housed on the system board but with an add on Mezzanine Card it can support up to 4x more NVMe M.2 drives. Virtual RAID on CPU, or vROC, is also supported with an optional vROC key.
With 16x DIMM slots on the system board of the Supermicro 4129P-T3N Server, each CPU is in charge of 8x memory module slots. A fully configured system supports 4TB of memory with each slot populated with 256GB ECC DDR4-2933MHz modules. Speeds of 2933MHz, 2666MHz, and 2400MHz are supported on this system.
Compatible enclosures for this system include the Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosure 820C and 820J enclosure families. Depending on the enclosure, they offer 2 to 4 I/O modules for different port options and connection speeds. The I/O modules connect directly to the server node through the midplane and in turn connect to the mezzanine cards on the server nodes. Depending on the choice of your enclosure, 1x or 2x Chassis Management Modules can be installed. The node offers dual integrated 10G LAN ports for network communications, which are ported to the enclosure I/O modules. The mezzanine slot at the back of the server node can support either a network card or add on card with 4x M.2 drive slots.
Server management is handled through the compatible Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosure 820C and 820J families, which grant access to the Aspeed AST2500 Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) in each of the server nodes. 1x or 2x Chassis Management Modules (CMM) are housed on each enclosure. The server also supports the Integrated Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0 which is compatible with KVM over IP and Virtual Media over LAN.
Outfitted with up to 20x of these servers in an 8U enclosure, that’s up to 40 CPU sockets with a maximum of up to 1,120 cores of processing power. Up to 5x enclosures can be placed in a standard 42U for high-density compute with shared power, cooling, management and I/O delivering a faster return on investment. Each of the Supermicro SuperBlade 4129P-T3N Server nodes can support 2x 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. The system board supports 8x DIMM slots per CPU for a total of 16x DIMM slots and up to 4TB of memory at capacity. The front of the system can be configured with all SATA3 or a single SATA3 drive paired with dual NVMe drives. This system in conjunction with a SuperBlade Enclosure delivers superior processing for HPC applications.
