The Supermicro SuperBlade 6129P-T3N Server is a dual-socket system compatible with 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. With both processors installed, the system will support 24x DIMM slots total with a memory capacity of up to 6TB. The front of the system holds 3x 2.5-inch hybrid drive bays.
One or two 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors provide the computational power for this server. Each socket supports 12x DIMM slots for a total of 24x on the system board. Up to 6TB of 3DS DDR4 2933 MHz memory can be installed on to this system. The front of the system holds 3x 2.5-inch hybrid drive bays which support either NVMe or SATA3 drives. The Supermicro 6129P-T3N is housed in the Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosure 610J family which can house up to 10x of these server nodes in its 6U chassis.
The Supermicro SuperBlade 6129P-T3N can be configured with one or two 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. The system supports CPUs with up to 28 physical cores and 56 virtual threads making use of Intel’s Hyper-Threading Technology.
The front of the Supermicro 6129P-T3N node holds 3x 2.5-inch hybrid drive bays. Both NVMe or SATA3 drives are compatible with this server node. SATA3 drives are supported via the the Intel C622 chipset with RAID levels of 0, 1, and 5.
24x DIMM slots are available on this system when both CPU sockets are populated. Populating all 24x DIMM slots with 3DS registered (RDIMM) or load-reduced (LRDIMM) DDR4 Modules supports up to 6TB of memory on the Supermicro 6129P-T3N server node. Supported memory speeds on this system include 2933 MHz, 2666 MHz, and 2400 MHz. Using 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, they system will also support data centric persistent memory modules (DCPMM), also known as Intel Optane memory modules.
Dual 10GbE ethernet ports on the back of the Supermicro 6129P-T3N automatically connect to the mid plane on the Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosure 610J family. The SuperBlade enclosure features up to 4x I/O modules, which allows for different connection speeds at 25/10/1 GbE Ethernet.
Managing the Supermicro 6129P-T3N is achieved through the Enclosure 610J family. The enclosure provides dual Chassis Management Modules (CMM) in the rear granting access to the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) housed in each of the supported server nodes. The BMC is accessed through the Integrated Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0 compatible interface.
With a dual 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor configuration, the Supermicro SuperBlade 6129P-T3N supports up to 6TB of memory. The front of the system also features 3x 2.5-inch hot-pluggable drive bays, and can be configured to provide NVMe or SATA3, depending on your workload.
