Housed in a 1U chassis, the Tyan Thunder SX GT86CB5630 B5630G86CV12R Server is a 1-socket server perfect for high density storage for distributed database applications. The system is compatible with both the 1st and 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. There are 12x internal drive bays in an Easy-Swap arrangement in order to accommodate the required high-density storage. 12x DIMM slots support up to 1.5TB DDR4 memory.
A single 1st or 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processor powers this system. Exceeding industry standards for high-density storage, the Tyan Thunder SX GT86CB5630 B5630G86CV12R Server houses 12x internal 3.5-inch drive bays. This built to order platform can include up to four NVMe M.2 drives via an optional expansion carrier card. A 1+1 redundant 500W power supply ensures that in the case of a power outage or power module failure, your data is protected.

The Tyan B5630G86CV12R server is a single socket server compatible with the 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. The chipset found on this system is Intel’s C621 architecture. The Thermal Design Power wattage is 165W. A redundant power supply configuration of 80-plus platinum 500W ensures that every component runs smoothly.
With support for 12x SATA 6G 3.5-inch drive bays, the Tyan GT86CB5630 B5630G86CV12R Server offers dense storage in a 1U chassis. Much like other modern servers, 4x NVMe M.2 slots are available via an optional carrier card. Configured with NVMe storage devices enables fast start up times for this storage server.
Each memory channel supports 2 DIMM slots. With 6 channels, for a total of 12 DIMM slots. The DIMM speeds are dependent on the type of the DIMMs chosen. DDR4 Registered DIMMs, Registered DIMM 3DS, Load Reduced DIMMs, Load Reduced DIMM 3DS are supported offering speeds of either 2933MHz or 2666MHz, respectively. The DDR4 JEDEC NVDIMM speed only has the option for 2666MHz speed.
The chassis fits 1x 3rd Gen PCIe x16 slot which is half-height and half-length. The physical dimensions come in at 2.7 inches by 6.6” inches. There is a single 1 GbE port on this system for a dedicated IPMI, Intelligent Platform Management Interface 2.0 management port. There are also 2x USB 3.0 ports and 1 USB 3.0 Type-A port on the rear of the chassis.
Management of this system is covered by the onboard Aspeed AST2500 chipset through the dedicated IPMI port on the back of the chassis. The chipset provides ready compatibility with other 3rd-party hardware in the data center.
