The system is 2u and supports up to 12x 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives and can be outfitted with up to 4x NVMe drives, and up to 8TB of memory.
With only a 2U height, the Tyan Transport HX TS75B8252 B8252T75V8E4HR-8X-2T server offers up to 12x front-mounted hard drives with two 2nd or 3rd generation AMD EPYC processors. Based on the Zen 2 architecture, AMD’s EPYC 7002 series processors offer incredible multi-core performance at a very affordable price point. AMDs EPYC 7003 Series processors are based on Zen 3 architecture and offer up to 19% more performance. With 2x 10GbE ports built-in, this platform offers fast I/O options right out of the box. That said, this system also supports up to 9x PCIe 4.0 x8 slots that can be used more NICs, GPUs, and or RAID controllers.

Two Gen2 EPYC 7002 series processors with a TDP (Thermal Design Point) of up to 240W. That includes a full range of options from 8x to 64x cores each, depending on your workload needs. The system will support up to 160x PCIe 4.0 lanes (with two processors), and up to 32 memory modules. A bank of 6x hot plug fans keep the system cool while two 1 + 1 redundant 2200W 80 plus Platinum PSUs provide the power.
Each processor supports 8x memory channels and 16x memory module sockets for up to 32x memory modules total. Both Registered and Load reduced memory modules are supported on the Tyan Transport HX TS75B8252 B8252T75V8E4HR-8X-2T Server with LRDIMMs providing the highest capacity at up to 8TB, and memory speeds of up to 3200MT/s.
The 12x 3.5-inch storage bays up front can be used for either 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch storage devices. Either 12x SATA III storage devices or 8x SATA III plus 4X NVMe drives. Two M.2 drives can be installed in a special carrier and hosted in one of the PCIe 4.0 slots with either a single M.2 or in a hardware RAID for redundancy. Additionally, an optional rear storage cage on the Tyan Transport HX TS75B8252 B8252T75V8E4HR-8X-2T Server can support two additional 2.5-inch SATA or NVMe drives.
Three risers on the Tyan Transport HX TS75B8252 B8252T75V8E4HR-8X-2T Server system board have 2x PCIe slots plus a third with 3x PCIe slots for 9x expansion slots total to support a variety of workloads. Other Riser options include up to 4x PCIe 4.0 x16 slots to support up to 4x full-height, full-length GPUs. A dedicated slot on the back of the system supports an Open Compute Project (OCP) v3.0 mezzanine slot features x16 PCIe 4.0 bandwidth for high performance I/O options.
A dedicated management port on the back of the Tyan Transport HX TS75B8252 B8252T75V8E4HR-8X-2T Server provides access to the integrated platform management interface (IPMI) which uses the industry standard ASPEED AST2500 for remote and at chassis management.
