As part of a two-server family, the Tyan Transport SX GT62FB8026 B8026G62FV10HR-LE server is a 1U, single socket AMD EPYC-based platform that supports SATA natively. Ideal for cloud computing, the system is compatible with AMD’s EPYC 7001 or 7002 series processors, and supports up to 16x DIMM slots with up to 1TB of memory, at speeds of up to 2666MHz.
Designed for security appliances, front-end enterprise, and for use as a cloud-based storage server the Tyan Transport SX GT62FB8026 B8026G62FV10HR-LE server supports 10x hot-swap SATA drive bays up front. The integrated AST2500 baseboard management controller (BMC) with Redfish support provides a number of management options including the ability to monitor the hardware temperature and voltage.

Up to 10x NVMe U.2 + 2x NVMe M.2
The Tyan B8026G62FV10HR-LE server supports a single 1st or 2nd generation AMD EPYC processor with up to 32 cores and 64 threads. Compatible EPYC processors let administrators perform computational tasks quickly with an optimized balance of memory and storage resources. The EPYC CPUs are limited to a thermal design point (TDP) of up to 180W with support for up to 16x memory module slots. Some storage and memory features are not supported when using 7001 series CPUs.
Registered (RDIMM) or load-reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules populate the DIMM slots with a maximum capacity of up to 1,024GB and speeds ranging from 2400MHz to 2666MHz. Memory speed is dependant on both the processors generation and speed supported by the memory modules. Although the memory type is flexible, the motherboard does not support LRDIMM when AMD EPYC 7002 series processors are deployed in all configurations.
Compared to the other platform in the GT62FB8026 family with 10x NVMe drives, this server provides 10x hot-swap 2.5-inch SATA drives for more flexibility and energy efficiency. Up to 10x hard drives or SSD drives are directly controlled by the AMD EPYC CPU with speeds of up to 6GB/s. When second-generation processors are deployed in all configuration, the two SATA drives on the far right are not available. For additional storage, there are two M.2 slots on the motherboard with a 22110-maximum length, which support NVMe only when a 7002 series CPU is deployed in all configurations.
At only 1U, the system supports two preinstalled risers cards, each with one PCIe x16 slot. There is also an OCP 2.0 mezzanine PCIe Gen3 slot for additional I/O that won’t detract from the limited PCIe slots. Two M.2 SATA/NVMe slots on the motherboard can be used to support the OS or for additional storage. NVMe M.2 drives are only supported when second-generation AMD EPYC processors are installed in all configurations.
On the rear of the chassis there are two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and a dedicated LAN port for the integrated platform management interface (IPMI 2.0). To manage the system’s processor, memory, fans, and power supplies at-chassis or remotely, the server features the AST2500 base management controller, or BMC, with Redfish support.
The Tyan Transport SX GT62FB8026 B8026G62FV10HR-LE server features a single AMD EPYC processor and supports SATA storage bays rather than NVMe like on the other chassis configuration in this family, the GT62FB8026 B8026G62FE10HR. The system features 16x DIMM slots supported by either a 1st or 2nd generation EPYC processor. Although some memory and storage features differ depending on the CPU generation installed, this platform offers flexible configurations with great performance.
