The Supermicro SuperBlade 4119S-T2N Server is a single socket server compatible with the AMD EPYC 7003 or 7002 Series Processors. A total of 8x DIMM slots are available on the system board, plus dual 2.5-inch hot-pluggable hybrid drive bays on the front. 2x PCIe x4 M.2 slots are available on the system board.

The single AMD EPYC 7003 or 7002 Series processor supported in this system allows for a CPU Thermal Design Point (TDP) of up to 280W. Dropping in the EPYC 7003 processor requires a software BIOS 2.0 or newer update The supported processors with these restrictions can support up to 64 physical cores and 128 virtual threads. Each processor also supports PCIe 4.0 and 8x memory channels for high-I/O and memory bandwidth.
Dual 2.5-inch hybrid drive bays support NVMe or SATA3 drives. For fast access storage or to support the system OS, there are 2x PCIe x4 slots on the edge of the system board for NVMe M.2 drives offering superfast storage.
With 8x DIMM slots and 8x memory channels each slot can house a single memory module in it’s own memory channel for increased memory performance. A fully configured Supermicro 4119S-T2N Server node holds up to 2TB of memory when populated with 256GB 3DS DDR4 3200MHz memory modules in a all slots. Standard and 3DS Load Reduced (LRDIMMs) and Registered (RDIMMs) DIMMs are supported on this system featuring throughput speeds up to 3200MHz.
To expand the capabilities of the Supermicro 4119S-T2N node the compatible enclosure the SBE 820C, 820J, and 820L families feature ethernet switches with support for different data transfer speeds. The server nodes connect to the I/O modules in the back of the chassis with a direct connect to the midplane. This particular server node supports 2x 25GbE onboard ports via Mellanox CX4 network controllers.
Server management is handled by the Supermicro SuperBlade 4119S-T2N node’s compatible enclosures, which may have one or two for redundancy depending on which enclosure. The enclosure grants access to the integrated Aspeed AST2500 Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) in each server node. The Integrated Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0 supported on the server node is compatible with KVM over IP and Virtual Media over LAN for ease of compatibility with third-party hardware and software utilities.
Outfitted with a single 2nd or 3rd generation AMD EPYC Series Processor, the Supermicro SuperBlade 4119S-T2N server offers high-density for several Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosures. A fully configured server node supports 2TB of memory, 2x hot-pluggable NVMe/SATA3 drives, and 2x PCIe x4 M.2 drives. A single 8U enclosure can house up to 20x of these half-height servers and up to 100 CPUs in a 42U enclosure.
