The Supermicro SuperBlade 6119P-T3N Server houses a single socket compatible with 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. Only the 6U Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosure 610J family can support the Supermicro 6119P-T3N server with up to 1x single or dual socket server nodes. This server node supports up to 3TB of memory, and 3x 2.5-inch drive bays which support NVMe or SATA3 drives.
The system board of the Supermicro SuperBlade 6119P-T3N holds 12x DIMM slots for a maximum capacity of up to 3TB of memory. The memory channels are supported by a single 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor with up to 28 cores. The front of the system holds 3x hybrid 2.5-inch drive bays, which can be populated with NVMe or SATA3 drives. With several of these enclosures outfitted with this single-socket platform, that would be up to 70 CPUs in a 42U rack.

3 x Hot-plug 2.5" SAS3/SATA3 drive bays
A single 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor provides the computational power for the Supermicro 611P-T3N server node. Due to the thermal constraints on the system, the Thermal Design Point (TDP) is limited to 205W. With these constraints, Platinum Intel Xeon Scalable Processors are still available with 28x physical cores and 56x virtual threads. The single socket CPU has 6x memory channels.
Three hybrid 2-5-inch hot-pluggable drive bays on the front of the 6119P-T3N Node support both NVMe or SATA3 drives. The system is integrated for SATA3 drives via the Intel C622 chipset which supports RAID of 0, 1, 5 levels. Intel’s virtual RAID on CPU (vROC) is also supported and offers RAID options for solid state PCIe based NVMe U.2 drive formats.
The single CPU socket supports 12x DIMM slots with 6x memory channels and the potential for 2x DIMMs per memory channel. With every DIMM slot populated with 256GB DDR4 ECC 2933MHz memory modules, the maximum memory configuration on this system is 3TB. Data Centric Persistent Memory Modules (DCPMM), also known as Intel Optane, are also supported on the SuperBlade 6119P-T3N server but only 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors will support DCPMMs. Compatible memory speeds on this system include 2933MHz, 2666MHz, and 2400MHz.
Dual 10GbE ethernet ports can be found onboard the Supermicro 6119P-T3N Server Node, which automatically connect to the enclosure I/O modules. For additional expansion options, the 6U enclosure for the 6119P-T3N has 4x 25/10/1 GbE ethernet switches and 2x Chassis Management Modules (CMM).
The Supermicro 6119P-T3N is managed through the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0 via the Chassis Management Module, which is part of the 6U Supermicro SuperBlade Enclosure 610J.
The Supermicro SuperBlade 6119P-T3N server houses 12x DIMM slots supported by a single CPU socket. 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors are supported on this system, and when fully configured, it will support up to 3x NVMe or SATA3 drives and 3TB of memory. This SuperBlade server is housed in one of 4x different 6U SuperBlade Enclosure 610J platforms, each of which can be outfitted with up to 10x of these server nodes. Power, cooling, networking, and management of the system is all handled at the enclosure level, while compute, processing, and storage is handled by the server node.
