The Tyan Thunder HX FT83B7119 B7119F83V12HR-2T-N Server is a 10x GPU server designed for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Neural Network workloads. This is a 2-socket system supporting the 1st and 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor family series. Each socket supports 12 DIMM slots for a total of 24 DIMM slots on the system board. The front of the system houses 12 large form factor drive bays, with optional NVMe U.2 support.
Designed for high-performance computing workloads including AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Neural Networks, the Tyan Thunder HX FT83B7119 B7119F83V12HR-2T-N Server supports 10x double-width GPUs or up to 20 single-width GPUs. 12x large form factor storage drives up front provide ample storage for a variety of applications. 24x DIMM slots have a maximum capacity of 1.5TB to 3TB depending on the chosen DIMM modules.

Up to two of Intel’s 1st or 2nd generation Xeon Scalable Processor can be installed on this system. Each socket supports 12 DIMM slots for a total of 24 active DIMM slots with both processors installed. The system runs on a redundant power supply in a 3 + 1 configuration.
12x large form factor drive bays on the front of the system support both SSD and HDD storage devices. Optionally, you can install up to 4x NVMe U.2 drives, offering greater speed and resiliency. To account for potential drive failure, the system architecture supports RAID levels of 0/1/10/5 using the embedded HD/RAID controller. The supported HDD interface is SATA 6Gb/s.
Each processor supports 12 DIMM slots for a total of 24 active DIMM slots with both processors installed. Supported memory modules include DDR4 RDIMMs and LRDIMMs, plus DDR4 JEDEC NVDIMMs and Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory modules are also compatible but only with certain CPUs. The RDIMM and LRDIMM modules support memory speeds of 2933 or 2666 MHz, depending on CPU and memory speed. The JEDEC NVDIMM support speeds of 2666 MHz. The maximum memory capacity of the RDIMMs and LRDIMMs are 1.5TB, and 3TB for RDIMM and LRDIMM 3DS.
To be able to handle intensive graphical AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Neural Networking workloads the Tyan B7119F83V12HR-2T-N Server supports up to 10x full-height, full length GPUs or up to 20x single-width GPUs. There are 10 PCIe gen3 x16 Full Height, Dual Width slots on the back of the system. There is also a single gen3 x16 Full Height, Single Width slot available. A pre-installed riser card adds support for a single storage mezzanine slot for support of the optional NVMe U.2 drives. A total of 4x USB 3.0 slots evenly split between the front and back of the system.
Management on the Tyan B7119F83V12HR-2T-N Server is integrated with the onboard AST2500 chipset with support for RedFish API. The AST2500 grants access to the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0. The LED lights on the front of the system indicate server health including temperature, plus FAN and PSU failure.
