Able to handle heavy workloads with ease, the Tyan Thunder HX FT83B7119 B7119F83V8E4HR-2T-N Server supports two of Intel’s 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. The dual sockets each support 12 DIMM slots for a total of 24 on this system. There are a total of 12x drive bays on this system, four of which are reserved for NVMe drives while the other eight support SATA storage devices.

This platform supports dual sockets which are compatible with the 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. The maximum Thermal Design Power (TDP) wattage on this system is 205W. The system is powered by a redundant configuration of 3 + 1 3000W or 4800W 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies. In the event of a power supply failure, the redundancy will help protect your critical data.
The front of the system housed 12x large form factor drive bays, eight of which are SATA operating at 6Gb/s. The other four drive bays are reserved for NVMe U.2 drives. The system is compatible with RAID levels 0/1/10/5 using the integrated software RAID controller. SAS drives are also supported but will require a discrete HD/RAID controller PCIe card.
Each processor socket on this system supports 12x DIMM slots for a total of 24x active DIMM slots on this system board. Supported DIMM modules include DDR4 Registered DIMMs and Load Reduced DIMMs. DDR4 JEDEC non-volatile DIMM and Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory modules, or DCPMM, are also compatible. The RDIMM and LRDIMM modules support capacities up to 1.5TB, while the RDIMM and LRDIMM 3DS modules support up to 3TB. Memory speeds of 2933MHz are only supported using 2nd generation intel Xeon Scalable processors.
To complete graphically intensive tasks, the system supports up to 10x double-width PCIe x16 GPUs. A single PCIe x16 slot is dedicated for a Network Interface Controller is found on the back of the system which grants 100Gb/s transfer speeds. Tyan has incorporated a total of four USB 3.0 ports divided evenly between the front and back of the system.
An Onboard Aspeed AST2500 chipset features the Intelligent Platform Management Interface 2.0 controller. The AST2500 is also compatible with the Redfish API. LEDs on the front of the system also indicate server health including temperature and potential drive failures.
The Tyan Thunder HX B7119F83V8E4HR-2T-N is a 10x GPU server built to handle compute intensive tasks such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Neural Networking with a dual-root topology. The system is powered by a dual socket configuration compatible with 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Featuring a dual-root topology, the system GPUs are split between the processors and the processors use the Intel CPU Ultra Path interconnect (UPI) at to 10.4GT/s for GPU to GPU peer-to-peer communications.
