The Tyan Transport SX TN70AB8026 B8026T70AV26HR-LE server is designed to support an AMD EPYC processor and up to 1,024GB of memory. The flexible chassis features up to 26x hot-swap drive bays and support for up to two M.2 slots to provide innovations for dense computing environments.
With support for a single 7001 or 7002 series EPYC processor, the Tyan TN70AB8026 B8026T70AV26HR-LE server features 24x drive bays at the front of the chassis, with an additional two drive bays in the rear. The system supports 6x PCI-Express Gen3 slots and up to 2x M.2 slots for additional storage.

The Transport SX TN70AB8026 B8026T70AV26HR-LE server holds one AMD EPYC processor from either the first or second generation. The CPU has a thermal design point (TDP) of up to 180W and powers up to 26x DIMMs. The CPU and memory slots are placed towards the middle of the chassis and are cooled by a total of 8x fans behind the storage bays on the front of the system.
To drive performance, the B8026T70AV26HR-LE server offers 8x memory module slots on each side of the AMD EPYC CPU for a total of 16x DDR4 ECC memory module slots. The DIMMs can be configured with up to 1,024GB of registered (RDIMM) or load reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules. When using EPYC 7001 series processors, memory speeds can reach up to 2400MHz and up to 2666MHz when using EPYC 7002 series CPUs.
Depending on the storage configuration, users can have up-front storage configured to support up to 24x hot-swap 2.5-inch SSD or HDD, plus 2x hot-swap 2.5-inch SSD or HDD in the rear. The server supports SATA by default but can also support SAS with an optional backplane connection. The rear drive bays are only available with AMD EPYC 7001 series CPUs. Additionally, the server also features 2x onboard M.2 connectors at 22110/2280/2260/2242 by PCIe and SATA interface. NVMe is only when AMD EPYC 7002 series processors are deployed in all configurations.
For PCIe add-in cards, you can choose up to 6x PCIe Gen3 x8 slots in either full height or half height. Next to these slots, the motherboard also holds a dedicated spot for an OCP 2.0 slot for an additional Gen3 x16 card. On the back of the TN70AB8026 B8026T70AV26HR-LE there is an IPMI port and two RJ45 LAN ports.
The Tyan B8026T70AV26HR-LE provides access to the AST2500 onboard chipset with an IPMI 2.0 baseboard management controller (BMC). The BMC monitors the physical state of the server and other hardware by communicating with the administrator through an independent connection.
