Part of Gigabyte’s line of high-performance 2U servers, you can’t go wrong with the Gigabyte G292-Z43 GPU Server. It supports dual AMD EPYC 7002/7003 series processors and up to 16x single-slot GPU cards. A mix of 8x 2.5-inch NVMe and SATA III drive bays are supported on the front of the system.
Offering maximum compute density with dual AMD EPYC CPUS and qualified by Nvidia for up to 16x Tesla T4 GPUS, the Gigabyte G292-Z43 (rev. A00) GPU Server is suitable for big data analytics, high-performance computing, distributed environments, cloud applications plus scientific simulation and modeling. A few of the factors that add to the capabilities are enhanced I/O with 2x 10GbE ports and PCIe 4.0 compatibility for future upgrades.
Gigabyte G292-Z45 GPU Server
2x AMD EPYC 7002/7003, 8x PCIe 4.0, 2x PCIe 4.0, 4TB mem., 8x SAS/SATA
With the Gigabyte G292-Z43 GPU server you can install AMD EPYC 7002 or 7003-series processor with up to 64 cores and 128 threads but there is a thermal design point (TDP) limit of 240W. AMD EPYC processors are also PCIe 4.0 compatible, offering twice the bandwidth of the previous generation PCIe 3.0. 7003 series (MILAN) AMD EPYC processors also deliver twice the I/O and socket bandwidth, plus up to 4X more floating-point calculations compared to the previous generation. Powering the system are two 2200W 80 PLUS Platinum PSUs.
Either registered (RDIMM) or load reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules are supported on this chassis. Outfitted with 128GB memory modules in each of the 16x memory module slots, the system will support up to 2TB of memory. Using 256GB 3DS RDIMM or LRDIMM memory modules in all 16x slots, the system will support up to 4TB of memory. Memory will run at speeds of up to 3200MHz if that speed is supported by both the processor and memory modules.
There are 8x 2.5-inch hot swap storage bays on the front of the system supporting a mix of 4x SATA III and 4x Gen 4.0 U.2 NVMe SSDs or HDDs. The NVMe bays have green release tabs on the drive bays and can also be outfitted with all SATA III drives operating at 6Gb/s. All storage bays can also be loaded up with SAS drives operating at up to 12Gb/s but only with a discrete SAS HD/RAID controller.
AMD EPYC processors enable this system to support up to 16x PCIe 4.0 x16 slots and 2x more gen 4.0 PCIe slots for use with a low-profile HD controller or high-speed network card. This system is designed to support up to 16x single slot low-profile accelerators, like the Nvidia T4 GPU. With all the GPU support, this system is an excellent high density inference engine for complex applications such as speech recognition, online shopping, and video streaming. This system also has a dedicated slot for an OCP card offering flexible network connection options enabling expansion slots to be conscripted to support other options, like a discrete SAS card.
An RJ45 port on the back of the system provides access to the integrated platform management interface and the Aspeed AST2500 module for at chassis and remote management of the system. The system also features Gigabyte’s Management Console (AMI MegaRAC SP-X) which provides an intuitive interface to manage the system using a standard browser.
The Gigabyte G292-Z43 GPU Server delivers outstanding dual socket performance with up to 16x single slot computational accelerators or FPGAs, and up to 4TB of memory. This is a high-performance platform ideal for high-bandwidth cloud applications like voice recognition and streaming media.
